Basketball Recap: Nuniwarmiut Drops Season-High Score on Nightmute Elitnaurviat

Nuniwarmiut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 63-59 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nightmute Elitnaurviat Nighthawks. One positive for the Herders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Nightmute Elitnaurviat's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Louis Post led the charge by putting up 26 points. The matchup was Post's fourth in a row with at least 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Richard Anthony, who posted 18 points.

Nuniwarmiut's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Nightmute Elitnaurviat, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

As of now, neither Nuniwarmiut nor Nightmute Elitnaurviat have any future games scheduled.
