Soccer Recap: Charleston Collegiate Comes Up Short

Charleston Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Beaufort Academy Eagles, falling 7-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Beaufort Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 last Friday.

Addie Olson and Abigail Skinner scored both of Charleston Collegiate's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Charleston Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Beaufort Academy, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-4.

Charleston Collegiate will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Charleston Math & Science at 5:30 p.m. on April 10. As for Beaufort Academy, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-4 victory against Hardeeville on the 21st.
