Football Recap: Shafter Falls Short of Washington Union in the Playoffs + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Shafter couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. The contest between the Generals and the Washington Union Panthers didn't end well, with the Generals falling 42-27. The Generals' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Shafter's loss on Friday came despite strong showings from Ezekiel Osborne and Isaiah De La Mora. Osborne threw for 337 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, while De La Mora picked up 90 receiving yards and one TD.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Washington Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mckinley Williams, who threw for 367 yards and four TDs while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. What's more, Williams racked up 131.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September. Jareal Albert helped Williams out on the ground, rushing for 129 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries.

Shafter's defeat dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Washington Union, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Shafter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington Union, they will head out on the road to take on Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Thunderbirds have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven matchups.
