Football Recap: Shafter's Run of Six Straight Wins Now Over + How To Watch

Shafter and Washington Union squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Shafter had to settle for second. The game between the Generals and the Panthers didn't end well, with the Generals falling 42-27. The Generals' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Washington Union's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mckinley Williams, who threw for 367 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. Those 367 passing yards gave Williams a new career-high. Jareal Albert helped Williams out on the ground, rushing for 129 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries.

Shafter's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Washington Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Shafter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Washington Union, they will square off against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Thunderbirds have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven contests.
