Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence lost to Baxter Springs on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-10 to the Lions, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Baxter Springs, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Independence didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-3 victory against Field Kindley on the 9th. As for Baxter Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-4 win against Afton on the 9th.
