Pinecrest won the last time they faced Cape Fear and things went their way on Wednesday too. Pinecrest came out on top against Cape Fear by a score of 2-0. Given Pinecrest's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 31st, while Cape Fear are ranked 130th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jadyn Lamielle and Anna Depenbrock scored both of Pinecrest's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.
