Baseball Recap: Lompoc Wins Going Away Against Nipomo

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Lompoc and Nipomo have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Braves put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 13-6 win. The victory continues a trend for the Braves in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won nine in a row.

Riley Hendrickson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Stone Kubasiewicz, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aidan Vallarta, who earned one RBI and three runs.

Lompoc's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Nipomo, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Lompoc will take on Maranatha in a tournament on Wednesday. The Minutemen will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Nipomo, they will welcome Santa Ynez at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
