Basketball Recap: New Rockford-Sheyenne Comes Up Short

New Rockford-Sheyenne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 49-41 to the Hatton/Northwood Thunder. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Thunder are ranked 35th).

New Rockford-Sheyenne's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Hatton/Northwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

As of now, neither New Rockford-Sheyenne nor Hatton/Northwood have any future games scheduled.
