Football Recap: Blair Academy Comes Up Short

Blair Academy played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Lawrenceville School Big Red, falling 40-14. While losing is never fun, the Bucs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Big Red are ranked 35th).

Blair Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. As for Lawrenceville School, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blair Academy will face off against Hill School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lawrenceville School, they will square off against Taft School at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
