Basketball Recap: Taylorville Comes Up Short

Taylorville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 66-35 loss at the hands of the Jacksonville Crimsons. The Tornadoes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crimsons earlier this season, when they won 69-49.

Among those leading the charge was Troy Defrates, who went 7-for-10 on his way to 14 points and six rebounds. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. LaMarion Williams was another key player, going 5-for-7 to rack up 13 points.

Taylorville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-17. As for Jacksonville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-18.

As of now, neither Taylorville nor Jacksonville have any future games scheduled.
