Volleyball Game Preview: Alamosa Mean Moose vs. Wiggins Tigers + How To Watch

Alamosa has gone a perfect 3-0 against Wiggins recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Mean Moose will head out to challenge the Tigers at 9:00 a.m. Alamosa will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Alamosa made easy work of Montezuma-Cortez and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Alamosa walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 25-8.

Alamosa can attribute much of their success to Addison Rice, who had 19 digs and three assists, and Egypt Holman, who had ten digs. Rice has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

Alamosa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Wiggins earned a 3-1 victory over Caliche on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-23, 24-26, 25-11.

Alamosa's record now sits at 17-1. As for Wiggins, their record is now 11-4.

Alamosa beat Wiggins 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Will the Mean Moose repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
