West Phoenix suffers eighth straight loss on the road

Recap: West Phoenix Eagles vs. Imagine Prep Storm

The West Phoenix Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Imagine Prep 83-41. West Phoenix has struggled against Imagine Prep recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Imagine Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Hayden Kelton out in front who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kelton is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Jaylen Cassidy was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with nine assists and seven steals.

West Phoenix bumped their record down to 3-10 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Imagine Prep, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Phoenix will take on Southwest Leadership Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Southwest Leadership Academy is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for Imagine Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Dream City Christian Open at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Dream City Christian Open is ranked 18th, while Imagine Prep is ranked 25th).
