Softball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin lost against Owatonna back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Packers lost 13-6 to the Huskies. The Packers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Austin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Cass, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Charlee Cunningham was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Austin will challenge rival Red Wing at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Owatonna is set to take on their familiar foe Mayo at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated after one games, but that won't be the case come Thursday.
