Softball Game Preview: Parkview Vikings vs. South Beloit Sobos

The Parkview Vikings will head out on the road to take on the South Beloit Sobos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Parkview has now lost 11 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since May 3.

Parkview lost 9-2 to Williams Bay on Thursday.

Parkview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Farnsworth, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, South Beloit fell victim to Rockford Auburn and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 11-0. The loss continues a trend for the Sobos in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

South Beloit's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Parkview, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.

Parkview might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from South Beloit in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
