Baseball Recap: Hickory Grove Christian Wins Going Away Against Charlotte Country Day School

Hickory Grove Christian came out on top against Charlotte Country Day School on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Lions blew past the Buccaneers 8-1. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Gavin Pelow and Dean Colston did most of the damage at the plate: Pelow went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Colston went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Pelow has become a key player for Hickory Grove Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach White, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
