Preview: Kerens Bobcats vs. Frankston Indians
Kerens is 0-8 against Frankston since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Kerens Bobcats will be playing at home against the Frankston Indians at 6:45 p.m. Kerens will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 840th, while Frankston is ranked 419th).
Kerens scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Latexo 79-51 at home. The victory was familiar territory for Kerens who now have three in a row.
Meanwhile, Frankston unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They suffered a tough 49-23 loss at the hands of Martins Mill. The low total for Frankston ended their streak of high-flying scores.
Kerens' win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-5. As for Frankston, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-5.
Kerens was taken down by Frankston 54-20 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Kerens avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
