If Seymour was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Austin-East last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alcoa Tornadoes on Monday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Seymour was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-23.

Seymour's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Isabella Hylan, who had 11 digs and two assists, and Makenzie Warner, who had seven digs and seven assists.

Seymour's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Alcoa, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Seymour has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Grainger on the 15th. As for Alcoa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Northview Academy on the 16th.
