Recap: Liberty Patriots vs. Desert Pines Jaguars
On Thursday, the Liberty Patriots faced the Desert Pines Jaguars in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Liberty managed a 49-44 win over Desert Pines. The win was just what Liberty needed coming off of a 73-49 loss in their prior contest.
Liberty's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daisha Peavy, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Alofa Eteuini, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Liberty pushed their record up to 16-10 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Desert Pines, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.
Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Desert Pines also has no future games currently scheduled.
