Baseball Recap: Sehome Takes a Loss

Sehome lost against Bellingham back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mariners fell just short of the Bayhawks by a score of 4-2. That's two games in a row now that the Mariners have lost by exactly two runs.

Jad Geiger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

Sehome dropped their record down to 5-8 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Bellingham, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sehome will face off against rival Ferndale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bellingham is set to challenge their familiar foe Blaine at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
