Softball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They lost 23-1 to the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

Monroe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vania Stevenson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Forest Hills, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-15.

Monroe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Forest Hills, they will square off against Anson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
