Baseball Recap: Northeastern Clinton's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Northeastern Clinton came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Richford Falcons by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 on May 3rd.

Robert McIntyre made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Evias Carpenter was excellent, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases. Hayden Schad was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Northeastern Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1. As for Richford, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-8-1.

Northeastern Clinton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richford, they will venture away from home to square off against Bellows Free Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
