DeWitt's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Alpena Wildcats by a score of 8-5. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The victory got DeWitt back to even at 2-2. As for Alpena, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

DeWitt wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-4 defeat against St. Mary's Prep on the 12th. As for Alpena, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Traverse City West at 4:15 p.m. on the 22nd.
