Baseball Recap: Box Elder Bees vs. Bear River Bears
Box Elder is still winless after their matchup against Bear River on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bear River Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Bees have lost by exactly two runs.
Box Elder got a good showing from Bosten Steacie, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, Steacie posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Maddox Earnest was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Easton Green was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
