Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Berwick couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pope John Paul II on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' loss signaled the end of their 18-game winning streak.

Berwick's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoey Force, who had 33 digs. Force has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Julia Rauch, who had 38 assists and 11 digs.

Berwick's loss dropped their record down to 20-2. As for Pope John Paul II, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

As of now, neither Berwick nor Pope John Paul II have any future games scheduled.
