Basketball Recap: Parker Comes Up Short

Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Westside Wolverines, falling 63-42. While losing is never fun, the Braves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 609th, while the Wolverines are ranked 241st).

Westside found their leader in freshman Chase Williams-Pierce, who posted 12 points. Kinard Life was another key player, putting up eight points.

Parker's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Westside, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

Parker has already played their next contest (against Stanton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Westside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-43 win against Orange Park on the 14th.
