Volleyball Recap: Zionsville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Zionsville can now relate to. They came up short against the Fishers Tigers on Saturday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 17th.

Fishers can attribute much of their success to Ian Pifer, who had 13 digs and three assists. Pifer is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had 13 or more in each of the last four games he's played.

The defeat snapped Zionsville's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 24-11 record. As for Fishers, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-4.

Zionsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fishers, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Homestead on the 24th.
