Baseball Game Preview: Eisenhower Knights vs. Kane Wolves

The Eisenhower Knights will head out to square off against the Kane Wolves at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Eisenhower has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with five straight losses, while Kane will come in with four straight victories.

Eisenhower came up short against Youngsville on Wednesday, falling 11-2.

Meanwhile, Kane earned a 6-2 win over Brockway on Wednesday.

Isaiah Smith was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Eric Novosel was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kane kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brockway only managed six hits.

Kane's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Eisenhower, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Eisenhower couldn't quite get it done against Kane in their previous matchup back in May of 2017 as they fell 6-2. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
