Baseball Recap: St. Martin Takes a Loss

St. Martin and Brandon squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but St. Martin had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Yellow Jackets have suffered since March 27th.

St. Martin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Stiglets, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

St. Martin's loss dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Brandon, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-12.

St. Martin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brandon, they will take on Ocean Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 3.4, the Greyhounds 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
