Chase Noe was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn hadn't done well against Seneca recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Rockets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Fighting Irish, sneaking past 5-4.

Roanoke-Benson/Lowpoint-Washburn pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they now have a losing record of 11-12.
