Basketball Recap: Osborn's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the Osborn Knights didn't have too much trouble with the Redford Union Panthers as they won 52-37. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Panthers are ranked 660th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win made it two in a row for Osborn and bumps their season record up to 17-2. As for Redford Union, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osborn will square off against Marian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Osborn's defense has only allowed 23.8 points per game this season, so Marian's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Redford Union, they will face off against Clarenceville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Redford Union is facing Clarenceville at the right time seeing as Clarenceville is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
