Smithtown West had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Sofia Scheer did her part to make it six on Saturday. Smithtown West came out on top against the Bethpage Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0 with plenty of help from Scheer, who had four digs and four aces. Those aces marked the first that she has served this season.
Smithtown West never let Bethpage on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-16.
Smithtown West's victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Smithtown West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Sachem North on the 27th. Bethpage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
