Jefferson-Morgan entered their tilt with Washington on Thursday with nine consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with ten. They put the hurt on the Prexies with a sharp 9-1 victory. The Rockets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Drew Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Deakyn DeHoet was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Ellsworth, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Jefferson-Morgan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

Jefferson-Morgan's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Washington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Jefferson-Morgan and Washington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Rockets will face off against Jeannette at 4:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (175 vs. 430). Meanwhile, Washington (ranked 83rd) will meet Keystone Oaks (ranked 321st) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
