Basketball Recap: Addie Longcrier Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

On Tuesday, the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights were able to grind out a solid win over the Chambers Academy Rebels, taking the game 50-41.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Macon-East Montgomery Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addie Longcrier, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 20 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiyah Powell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Chambers Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Macon-East Montgomery Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Abbeville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chambers Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
