Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Mia Volpert stepped things up a notch to give Springfield the 'W'. Volpert wasn't messing around, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 21 over seven innings pitched. The pitching appearance was her 19th straight with five or more strikeouts.
