Recap: Academy of the New Church Lions vs. Friends Select

Academy of the New Church came out on top against Friends Select by a score of 53-45 on Tuesday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Academy of the New Church has scored all year.
Academy of the New Church's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bahsil Laster led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Tobe Nwobu, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Academy of the New Church's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4. As for Friends Select, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Academy of the New Church will take on Friends' Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Friends' Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 599 points over their last eight games. As for Friends Select, they will be playing at home against Haverford School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
