Basketball Recap: Interlake Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Interlake won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 73-52 loss courtesy of the Bothell Cougars. The Saints were down 62-39 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Interlake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Didrickson, who posted seven points and 15 boards. Those 15 rebounds gave Didrickson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eric Olteanu, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points.

Interlake's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Bothell, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Interlake will host Eastlake at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Interlake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season. As for Bothell, they will welcome Redmond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bothell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Redmond likes a good challenge.
