Baseball Game Preview: Badger Braves vs. Maplewood Rockets

The Badger Braves will challenge the Maplewood Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Badger has given up an average of 10.8 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Badger came up short against Grand Valley on Wednesday, falling 15-6. The Braves have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Maplewood posted their closest victory since March 29th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out John F. Kennedy Catholic 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

Maplewood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Sexton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Badger's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Maplewood, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
