Football Game Preview: South Hardin Tigers vs. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS

The South Hardin Tigers will face off against Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. South Hardin's defense has only allowed 9.8 points per game this season, so Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' offense will have their work cut out for them.

South Hardin had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least 31 points, but Grundy Center put an end to it on Friday. The Tigers fell 22-12 to the Spartans. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Spartans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Despite the loss, South Hardin saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kameron Adams rushed for 157 yards while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Adams' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 156 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, after only eight points in their last game, Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS made sure to put some points up on the board against Eagle Grove on Friday. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS strolled past Eagle Grove with points to spare, taking the game 34-16. Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS hasn't had any issues with Eagle Grove recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS' win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for South Hardin, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
