Basketball Recap: Weslaco Takes a Loss

Weslaco suffered their closest loss since February 18th on Saturday. They fell just short of the Memorial Mustangs by a score of 41-38. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Weslaco still got an impressive performance from Kade Lopez, who went 5-for-12 en route to 12 points and seven steals. Kai L Fino was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Weslaco's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Weslaco is taking a road trip to square off against San Benito at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Greyhounds have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Memorial, they will host Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
