Dayspring Christian Academy suffers third straight loss on the road

The Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Monday. They took a serious blow against Bishop Machebeuf, falling 74-37. Dayspring Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.

Despite the loss, Dayspring Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Quinn Boyd, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Coleman, who scored 11 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop Machebeuf to victory, but perhaps none more so than Miles Edgar-Parchman, who scored 14 points along with five steals and two blocks. Edgar-Parchman has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Landon Sulser was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Dayspring Christian Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bishop Machebeuf, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dayspring Christian Academy on the road again on Friday and play against Gilpin County at 4:30 p.m. on January 26th. As for Bishop Machebeuf, they will challenge Union Colony Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Colony Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while Bishop Machebeuf is ranked 50th).
