Football Recap: Gallatin Green Wave vs. Lebanon Blue Devils
Gallatin was the 32-30 winner over Lebanon when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Gallatin Green Wave took a 49-31 bruising from the Lebanon Blue Devils on Thursday. The Green Wave have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lebanon had a senior duo take command as Harrison Edwards rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries and Isaiah Muraira rushed for 212 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. Muraira is becoming a predictor of Lebanon's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).
Gallatin's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lebanon, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6.
Gallatin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lebanon, they will venture away from home to face off against Oakland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Oakland's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups.
