Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Sutton

Sutton entered their tilt with Hudson on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Hawks 56-34. The Sammies/Suzies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Sutton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gus Jacobson, who shot 53% from the field to rack up 20 points in addition to five boards and three steals. The contest was Jacobson's third in a row with at least 15 points. Chase Gara was another key player, going 7-for-13 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds.

Sutton's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hudson, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Sutton will challenge Nipmuc Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Sammies/Suzies' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 54.2 points per game this season. As for Hudson, they will take on Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
