Soccer Recap: Butler Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Butler was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the East Mecklenburg Eagles. One thing that didn't help Butler's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Elijah Azatassou.

Butler's goal came courtesy of Omar Moreno, who's now up to five this season.

Butler's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-2. As for East Mecklenburg, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Coming up, Butler will venture away from home to take on Hough at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Mecklenburg, they will welcome West Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Mecklenburg will be up against West Charlotte's rather soft defense (which has allowed three goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
