Basketball Preview: Holbrook Roadrunners vs. Snowflake Lobos
Holbrook has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Snowflake Lobos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Holbrook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Lobos are ranked 23rd).
Holbrook suffered their closest defeat since December 8, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of Winslow by a score of 42-39.
The losing side was boosted by Noheah Aberle, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Deya Guerrero, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Snowflake earned a 47-36 victory over the Cougars on Friday.
Holbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Snowflake, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.
