Volleyball Recap: Oakfield Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Deerfield came into Tuesday's match looking for another win against Oakfield, but Lily Collien wouldn't allow it. The Oaks walked away with a 2-0 win over the Demons on Tuesday for which the team can thank Collien, who had 17 digs. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Oakfield easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15.

Deerfield's loss came despite strong showings from Lily Betthauser and Nevaeh Schears. Betthauser had 14 digs and four assists, while Schears had seven assists and four digs.

Oakfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Deerfield, their loss dropped their record down to 23-12.

Oakfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Deerfield has already played their next contest (against Hustisford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
