Softball Recap: Pine Forest Takes a Loss

Pine Forest and Escambia squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pine Forest had to settle for second. They lost 14-4 to the Gators. The Eagles have struggled against the Gators recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Mary Brockett was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Pine Forest's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Escambia, their record now sits at 15-8.

Pine Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Escambia, they will face off against Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gators' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
