Football Game Preview: Gilmer Bobcats vs. Ridgeland Panthers + How To Watch

The Gilmer Bobcats will head out to take on the Ridgeland Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeland took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Gilmer, who comes in off a win.

It was a proper cat-fight when Gilmer duked it out with Adairsville on Friday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 28-21.

Meanwhile, Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Northwest Whitfield 52-21. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 376th, while the Bruins are ranked 137th).

Although Ridgeland took the loss, they still got scores from Cornell Watkins, Mo Stephens, and Jacob Bell.

Gilmer now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Ridgeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

Gilmer took their victory against Ridgeland in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 27-7 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
