Basketball Game Preview: Brewster Bears vs. Lake Roosevelt Raiders

The Brewster Bears will head out to face off against the Lake Roosevelt Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Brewster is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

Brewster came up short against Chelan on Tuesday, falling 59-39. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Mountain Goats are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Lake Roosevelt against Manson on Tuesday as the squad secured a 68-31 win. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Lake Roosevelt's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 29.2 points. As for Brewster, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Brewster came up short against Lake Roosevelt when the teams last played two weeks ago, falling 62-54. Can Brewster avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
