Baseball Recap: Skiatook Takes a Loss

Skiatook has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.89 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Saturday. They came up short against the Verdigris Cardinals, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-0 loss on Friday.

Skiatook's loss dropped their record down to 24-12. As for Verdigris, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season.

Skiatook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Verdigris, they will face off against Oktaha at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
