Basketball Recap: Sturgis Takes a Loss

Sturgis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 39-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the Edwardsburg Eddies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eddies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-27 back in December of 2024.

Sturgis' loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Edwardsburg, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sturgis will face off against Vicksburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Edwardsburg, they are taking a road trip to face off against Niles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
